Chris Katje began freelance writing about stocks and the financial markets in 2006. During his time at Seeking Alpha, Chris has written more than 600 articles (http://seekingalpha.com/author/chris-katje/articles
). Mr. Katje has grown into a helpful researcher and a content provider, relying heavily on ideas that will move the market. A part time career of writing on the market was escalated with new positions at the Motley Fool and The Street, which began in 2013.
Chris continues to help people profit through stock ideas and general discussion on undercovered names.
Chris is active on Seeking Alpha, the Motley Fool, and The Street. His work has also been featured in Variety magazine. Chris will now be using a good chunk of his time to this newsletter to share exclusive stock selections that won’t be posted anywhere else.
Chris began trading the markets at the age of 18. With hundreds of dollars to invest, Chris quickly realized the best way to maximize returns was to find stocks with cheaper share prices to maximize the number of shares he could accumulate. This quickly cut down on cost basis and the break-even point needed for profits.
Early positions in SiriusXM, Lions Gate Entertainment, IMAX Corporation, Hawaiian Airlines, and Buffalo Wild Wings are among some of Chris’s best personal winning stocks. All of these stocks once traded for under $20.
The goal of launching Stocks Under $20 was to continue a promising career of providing cheap stock ideas to potential traders. This portfolio will focus on small cap and medium cap plays that have room to run, due to mispricing or catalysts.
